• Are you conducting in-person appointments?

Please see this form regarding in-person appointments

• What services do you provide?

I provide psychotherapy alone or in combination with medication(s) for those suffering from mood and anxiety disorders.

• Will you provide medication management if I am already seeing a therapist?

When I agree to be a co-treating provider with a therapist, I am also agreeing to share legal risk. Because of this, I do not provide services to patients who are already working with another therapist, unless I have already met and/or worked with this therapist previously.

• Do you accept insurance?

I am in-network for Aetna, Anthem (UC SHIP only), and Optum (which includes United Behavioral Health and Oxford).

I am not currently accepting patients with Optum, unless they have been referred by their therapist.

Please view the the final page of the Treatment Consent for a fee schedule.

I have specifically "opted-out" of accepting Medicare. Please click here for more information.

• How do I make an appointment?

Please call me at (818) 277-9414. I will respond within 1 business day. We will briefly discuss your current situation to determine if I can assist you and, if so, will then schedule an appointment for an initial evaluation.

• What is the initial evaluation like?

The initial evaluation generally lasts 60-90 minutes. At the first appointment, the focus will be on obtaining information about your current situation and your history of both medical and psychiatric care. At the end of the session, you will have time to ask any questions you may have. We will also discuss treatment recommendations.

• Is there anything I need to do to prepare for the first session?

Please fill out the documents in the "Forms" section of the website and bring them to your first appointment. If you were referred by a therapist or another physician, please be sure to complete the "Release of Information" form, as well.

• Where do I park?

There is both free and metered parking along Santa Monica Blvd. and on the residential side streets. Please read all parking signs carefully because the side streets have different parking restrictions (and street-cleaning days), depending on the block.

• How do I make payment?

I accept check or cash (and strongly prefer check). If you do not have any checks, you can use the "Bill Pay" function with your on-line banking platform to send payment. Log in to your bank account and click on "Bill Pay" (it is usually one of the menu options at the top of the page). Add in my name and contact information (which is provided on this webpage) as the vendor. If an account number is required, you can enter whatever you like (I don't use account numbers to identify patients). And then enter the amount of payment. The check usually arrives within 1-2 weeks.
